Hi My name is Eli Sanford, Ive been BBSing 24 years
I got into bbsing b/c my dad was doing it on systems
like Quantum link so I got into it then & yea I was on
Qlink & still have my software along with about every
computer I've ever owned! I'm a packrat/collector you 
decide! I'm also into anime. & Internet Radio
I like chating on irc with my friends

About the BBS

Skulls & Crossbones started out as a small BBS 
on a Commodore 64. Useing RIBIT BBS software. 
It had 5 message bases & e-mail with a 300bps Vicmodem.
The bbs wasn't called Skulls & Crossbones back then. 
At first it was "The Ribit Bbs" named after the software
It moved to an Atari 1040 St & ran some messaging software
I wrote in StBasic. Then I got an IBM PS/2 286 & swiched 
to WWiV 4.22 & Skulls & Crossbones was born on August 23 1992/1993 
(not sure on that anymore) S&c has ton users & Inspired many BBSes
including Silicon Dream's, Jabba's Palace, Corporate Coruption,
Darkness, Sagittarius, & Crimson Knights just to name a few

Skulls & Crossbones is the reason i got into internet radio
so i guess you could say s&c is also the roots of Osprey Networks also

Nowadays Skulls & Crossbones is much more than a bbs 
its a community built on the blood sweat tears & shear will 
to never quit to never give up & has been a fixture in the bbs scene
for years & with your help it will continue
